Vector Wealth Strategies Announces New Community Impact Fund Recipients

Huntsville, ALABAMA, February 13, 2018— Vector Wealth Strategies, a financial planning firm, created the Community Impact Fund in 2015 to help serve the Huntsville community through grants for local nonprofits.

AGAPE of North Alabama, First Stop and The Riley Behavioral & Educational Center each received a $4,000 grant from the Community Impact Fund last October.

“AGAPE will use the grant to hire two interns for the summer of 2018,” Natalie Balch, LICSW, director of social services, said. “Part of our mission is to help train up-and-coming social workers so that the profession as a whole can be strengthened.”

First Stop’s mission is to encounter homeless people where they are, connect them to important services and lead them to independent, sustainable living. Mike Gordon, president, said they plan to use the grant to complete a three-station laundromat and bring it into operation.

The Riley Behavioral & Educational Center is a comprehensive services center for individuals and families affected by autism. The center specializes in applied behavior analysis and offers outpatient, educational, adaptive living, social skills and inclusion programs for ages 2-22.

“This grant will allow The Riley Center to offset the financial strain of therapeutic services for families in our community,” Kelly Mason, director of adult services and community relations, said. “No child should be denied life-changing services due to economic constraints, and this funding will help ensure those in our community affected by autism continue to be provided with hope.”

Vector Wealth Strategies’ mission statement for their Community Impact Fund is “Impacting our community through investment and involvement.” The company sets aside 10 percent of its profits annually to fund grants that focus on education, health and human services and disaster recovery. Vector Wealth Strategies is located at 401 Meridian St N #305, Huntsville, AL 35801.
