NAVIGATE Nonprofit Network Conference 2020 Becomes a Free Virtual Event

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama – The Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville announced today that NAVIGATE Nonprofit Network Conference (formerly NPUHuntsville Conference) will respond to current public health and nonprofit/small business budgetary concerns by shifting this year’s conference to a virtual event offered at no cost for all regional nonprofit organizations.

The name NAVIGATE Nonprofit Network Conference was selected to reflect the dual purpose of the event to help nonprofit organizations in navigating the many challenges they face each day and to provide a collaborative networking event by bringing nonprofit professionals, volunteers, and board members together for a day of professional development. Ashley Clark, Event of the Community Foundation, states, “NPUHuntsville has a rich history of serving the nonprofit organizations in our region, with over 500 participants registered for last year’s conference.  We are working hard to take this annual professional conference to the next level for the benefit of all of our participants so that, now more than ever, we can help navigate all we are facing as a community.”

Melissa Thompson, CEO/President of the Community Foundation, shares, “At the Community Foundation, we are committed to investing in building the capacity of those who are on the front lines of this important work.  We know that our community’s nonprofit organizations have been hit very hard by the current COVID crisis. So, with the generosity of our sponsors, we are happy to be able to offer NAVIGATE to all participants free of charge. We are excited about this year’s conference as together we NAVIGATE a better, brighter future for our communities.”

NAVIGATE Nonprofit Network Conference will be hosted on Tuesday, August 18.  Registration for NAVIGATE will open Monday, June 15 at www.NavigateHSV.org.
