My family is grateful to live in a community where generosity thrives, giving us the ability to circle around and lean in with others to creatively and collectively team together to create a force to respond to needs around us. Our family is committed to strengthening the community in which we serve by contributing to funds that support long term positive and measurable impact.
One giving initiative that our family supports is the Women’s Philanthropy Society (WPS). WPS watches over one another in love and strives to shape a clear difference. There is great value in a network of women with multiple perspectives, a spirit of generosity, and a bounty of courage to address issues concerning women and children. Established in 2018 for women, by women, WPS is Huntsville’s first permanent grant-making endowment that seeks to make a positive difference in the lives of women and families in our community. Ingrained in our mission is the desire to leave a legacy of love – an enduring gift for generations to come.
I choose to support WPS because I believe in the power and passion of these women and the dividends of leaving a legacy of love gift for generations. If we empower, educate, and uplift women, we uplift a family. My hope is that our family giving will inspire life-changing action and give optimism to someone desperate for a miracle. We want to be part of raising the bar of generosity with the Community Foundation. The higher the bar, the more our community benefits. I serve a great community – a blessing I do not take for granted.
