Generosity is an investment in the future you want to see
At the Community Foundation, we believe that generosity is simply an investment in the future you want to see. When you make a charitable donation, you are making a statement about the kind of world you want to live in and the changes you want to see to make it a better place for your children and your grandchildren. At its core, generosity reflects three characteristics:
- Optimism – Generosity reflects an optimism that the future can be even better than the present state of things (even if we can all agree that we live in a great community).
- Visionary – Generosity allows donors to provide visionary leadership to their community and to be a part of designing the future for the community you love.
- Proactive – Generosity is a practical way to be proactive and to be part of the solution to the problems our community is facing.
