Sameer Singhal

Sameer Singhal was witness to the beginning of CFD Research as it was launched by his parents Ashok and Sangeeta Singhal in 1987 in the basement of their Huntsville home. Now the company CEO and President, he and his brother originally made the first business sign for CFD Research Corporation using a dot matrix printer which is now hanging up at the CFD Research Headquarters.

This high technology small business has experienced rapid growth in the more than three decades since it began. CFD Research Corporation (CFD) specializes in engineering simulations, advanced prototypes, and innovative designs for aerospace, defense, life sciences, materials, energy, and other industries.

For the last 35 years CFD has provided Innovative technology solutions to the nation’s toughest
problems including the Aerospace, Defense, Energy, Materials, Biomedical and Cyber disciplines. While CFD strives to make an impact on society and, while this goal is primarily applied to solving customers’ problems through innovative solutions, this statement similarly applies to their philanthropic efforts.

CFD’s giving strategies seek to make the Huntsville community a better place and to give back to the community that has supported and nurtured CFD since its beginning. The CFD Research Delta Foundation allows employees-owners to give back to the communities that have been an integral part of the corporation’s growth over the past thirty-five years. Under his leadership since 2016, Sameer continued his father’s commitment to this region, sharing, “CFD Research has made a firm commitment to the North Alabama area in the last few years with the purchase of our 45,000-square-foot headquarters in CRP in 2018, construction of a test facility in Hollywood, Alabama in 2021 and 15,000-square-foot laboratory addition in the back of the CRP building in 2022.”

Collective generosity not only helps those in need but also fosters a sense of community, compassion, and cohesion. In reference to collective generosity, Sameer says, “It demonstrates that by working together, individuals can make a significant and lasting difference in the lives of others and contribute to the betterment of a community as a whole.” When donors like Sameer, his family, and CFD Research pool donations, these individual gifts are leveraged for maximum impact to support charitable organizations doing important work throughout the Greater Huntsville region.
