HUNTSVILLE, AL (June 25, 2015) — The Community Foundation of Huntsville/Madison County, in partnership with DealNews, announces the creation of the DealNews Disaster Relief Fund, the Community Foundation’s component fund that will manage and provide charitable contributions to help support domestic and international disaster-relief efforts.

“We are delighted to help DealNews continue their tradition of helping those in need by providing this new disaster-relief fund as a tax-efficient and convenient vehicle for their charitable giving,” said Community Foundation CEO & President Stuart Obermann. “In our community, DealNews exemplifies corporate generosity at its best and we are proud to be a partner in their philanthropy.”

DealNews has galvanized its millions of readers around disaster relief for the 2011 Alabama tornado outbreak, as well as Hurricane Sandy. Previously, the company — the leading destination for discovering the best online deals on the hottest products — has offered to match its readers’ donations up to $250,000.
