HUNTSVILLE, Alabama – The Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville hosted a Community Philanthropy Award Reception on Monday, September 12, 2022 on the terrace of Redstone Federal Credit Union at Twickenham Square to honor the previous recipients of the Community Philanthropy Awards, and to announce this year’s award recipients. The Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville’s Community Philanthropy Award is presented annually to honor an individual or family that exemplifies the spirit of generosity in our community.
Cindi and Bob Ludwig have been selected to receive the 2022 Community Philanthropy Award in recognition of their philanthropic support of numerous local charitable organizations including Camp Maranatha, Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville, Crisis Services of North Alabama, Huntsville Botanical Gardens, National Children’s Advocacy Center, Second Mile, and Village of Promise among many others.
The Community Philanthropy Award will be presented at the thirteenth annual Summit on Philanthropy to honor the Ludwigs for their exceptional generosity demonstrated through donated time, talent, and direct financial support. Their generosity encourages others to take philanthropic leadership roles in their community, supporting the causes they care about most.
“Generosity is an investment in the future you wish to see. It is such a privilege to recognize and honor those who have demonstrated a dedication and commitment to enhancing the quality of life in our community. Celebrating Cindi and Bob Ludwig at the upcoming Summit on Philanthropy is a small token of our appreciation for their investments in the Greater Huntsville community,” shares Melissa Thompson, CEO/President of the Community Foundation.
